Shift rotation position (Bozshakol site, Pavlodar region)
21 days on site/21 days off site
Responsibilities:
- Lead the training function across the site including technical training covering mine operations, concentrating, fixed and mobile plant maintenance and HSE.
- Monitor the development of Competency Based Training Programs and ensure that strict conditions of the program is withheld.
- Ensure all Competency Based Training is appropriately Assessed and approved by relevant Permanent Examination Committees.
- Support leadership, supervisory and professional development, succession planning and corporate development across the site.
- Establish and manage training administration and record keeping processes and practices including use of company enterprise IT system (Oracle).
- Management of and development of Key Training Plans, Compliance (Blue & White Collar), Mining Operations, Mining Maintenance, Concentrator Operations, Concentrator Maintenance.
- Plan and schedule internal and external training for the site based on customer requirements and gap analysis.
- Management of training budget and manage training expenditure across the site.
- Lead the development, implementation and modification of training programs, assessments and training resources and material and ensure they are fit for purpose and aligned to business and customer requirements.
- Ensure all training resources, developed programs and training practices follow quality standards and company training standard.
- Facilitate training needs analysis (TNA) at a site, department, position and individual level and ensure training effort is based on identified business and customer needs and gap analysis.
- Develop training processes that promotes behavior-based safety in the workplace, drive a safe work culture and meet or exceed company and regulatory requirements.
- Develop performance plans for direct reports and ensure performance management is a cornerstone of the work groups’ success.
- Ensure all training programs and materials are sensitive to language and culture.
- Ensure training programs and practices comply with RoK requirements.
Requirements:
- Higher technical education with relevant specialization in Mining Engineering, Health Safety & Environment or Mineral Processing (Metallurgy);
- Extensive hands on training experience in a mining operational setting;
- Extensive experience in developing operator and maintainer training presentations and demonstrations, equipment and work area training manuals, competency assessments and monitoring and required retraining of required skill;
- Exposure to modern operations is highly regarded in addition to having knowledge of training and establishing an inexperienced mining workforce and work management processes;
- Ability to priorities tasks with an unwavering commitment to safety and best practice;
- Ability to motivate and communicate with personnel of all levels;
- Solid computer skills in business software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Project);
- Knowledge of the RoK Labor Code, Industrial and Civil Protection regulations;
- Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations and conflicting priorities while providing leadership and direction;
- Experience or certification in Front Line Management, Business Administration and/or Project Management would also be highly regarded;
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities;
- Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization;
- Strong proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Capability to lead a large team, visible leadership in health, safety, and environmental aspects of the business.
- Driver’s License (B category).
