Responsibilities:-
To maximise the promotion of the Macmillan ELT list in Kazakhstan
- Under the direction of the Country Director, organise, carry out and report on an extensive programme of visits to all types of educational institutions, retailers and distribution partners in the territory, conducting such visits professionally and representing Macmillan appropriately at all times.
- To ensure that the necessary follow-up to visits is carried out quickly and efficiently.
- Under the direction of the Regional Director, to maintain regular contact where appropriate (by visit, email and telephone) with educational institutions, retailers and distribution partners.
- To contact regional authorities, Ministry od Education and other relevnt institution to collect feedback necessary for preparing publishing and marketing strategy as required by Country Manager or Regional Manager.
- To organise, attend and report on relevant exhibitions and conferences in the territory.
- To assist in the organisation of seminars and teacher training workshops in the territory and to give such seminars personally where appropriate.
- To ensure the customer database, Nexus, is regularly and accurately updated
- To participate in planning a programme of targeted mailings to educational institutions in the territory.
- To assist in writing copy for mailing letters and all other promotional items for the territory when requested.
- To handle all queries and correspondence received from educational institutions in the territory.
- To assist in any other promotional work as required by the Regional Manager in the territory.
- To undertake other duties in the field of international marketing as required by the Country Director or Regional Manager.
- Qualification: oral and written fluency in English and Kazakh/Russian is required; IT proficiency, MS Office suite.
- Proven track record in any of the following fields: education, sales or marketing.
- Additional experience: Preferable working-experience in an international marketing field.
- A natural communicator who can inspire customers, partners and colleagues with his passion for the current product.
- Influencing skills and the ability to enthuse and encourage the team group to fully support and drive the new product offering.
- Client facing the ability to support sales and senior research management team in communication by phone and in person with clients and prospects.
- Process and detail oriented able to work in an agile manner in order to continuously refine and improve processes.
- Accepts and deals with challenges, proposes constructive solutions/alternative approaches.
- Well organised and effective personal time management.
