The Role:
As an Applications Support professional, you are the first point of contact between our customers and the business for issues with our key applications. You are responsible for responding to, troubleshooting and tracking issues combined with training users on new/existing applications and systems.
To succeed in this role you must be a self-starter who is comfortable with working in a rapidly changing environment; have an insatiable curiosity about how things work, a natural instinct for identifying problems. The individual will have a passion for improvement, exude a sense of calm in a fast-paced environment, particularly in time-sensitive situations. Candidates must have the desire and ability to become a subject-matter expert on a wide range of systems, tools and business processes,
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer support to all our clients
- Diagnose the root cause of issues quickly and accurately (either as bugs, workflow flaws, process flaws, etc.)
- Coordinate and lead training programs on key applications
- Work with software engineers to resolve business critical bugs rapidly
- Suggest solutions to problems using existing tools
- Put out fires, big and small, on a daily basis
- Build and maintain strong relationships with co-workers & clients
Your Profile:
- Excellent communication skills a must
- Fluent English
- At least 2 years + relevant support experience
- Previous experience supporting E-Commerce / Online web applications (desired / advantageous)
- Experience diagnosing root causes and finding issues
- Understanding of Linux / Unix system administration and web-related standards such as HTTP, FTP, SSH, HTML, XML and APIs (advantageous, can also provide training)
- Possess basic SQL skills
- External client/partner management experience
- Solid quantitative analysis skills
