Hotel description
Situated on the river banks of Essil, in the heart of Astana's Central Park and in the center of the Diplomatic district The St. Regis Astana will open in summer 2017.
120 sumptuous guest suites feature a unique identity of discreet luxury. The hotel will embrace a specialty grill restaurant where guests enjoy an unrivaled service and sample the best ingredients or indulge in the flawless luxury of Iridium Spa after a long day of captivating city impressions or business meetings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Align management style, working practices and conduct with The St Regis’ and Marriott/Starwood’s vision, corporate values, operating standards and policies. To comply with Marriott/Starwood’s code of conduct at all times.
- Personally build clear and open lines of communication with all departments
- Understand and abide by all Government laws relating to the Housekeeping department.
- Be critical and demanding of operating standards.
- Assist with the management external contracts to ensure aligned service is received maximizing value for money.
- Be involved with the room’s division quality assurance program.
- Willingness to accept the most effective role.
- Assists in training new associates and continuation of learning for existing associates.
- Ensures cleanliness of hotel, as reflected by service scores and quality assurance inspections.
- Complete brand required training and Property Management System training, housekeeping portion, to properly understand room statuses and delegation of room assignments for room attendants.
- Oversees lost and found and proper recording, storage, and communication to various departments.
- Completes and ensures guest requests for cleaning times or specifications are met in a timely manner.
- Attends necessary meetings, both departmentally and inter-departmentally, to ensure proper communication is fostered to ultimately benefit the operation and service of the hotel.
- Conduct interviews for potential new hires, perform coach and counseling sessions and/or disciplinary measures, associate evaluations, and will document and pass all documentation to Executive Housekeeper.
- Review scheduling with Executive Housekeeper, based on demands of hotel, and properly maintain levels of staffing therein.
- Maintains par levels of inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and brand required room materials and elements, to ensure brand standards and consistency measures are met.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education
- High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum three years’ experience
Grooming
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Starwood standards.
